Sculpture

As Eva Zeisel famously said: “I think with my hands. I design things to be touched-not for a museum. A piece is ready when it has the shape of something to cherish.” From foam form explorations to ceramics, building art with your hands is a joyful experience. Ceramics especially, I have a special joy for because my grandmother was a ceramicist but she died before I could meet her. Her work as a legacy left behind connected us and in such a way I have come to understand how one can cherish and be connected through skills passed on.

Double Spouted Pot

Sprigs of fallen flowers collected on walks, or small bouquets kindly collected by my little brother were often too small for traditional vases. The double spout provides a shallow saucer that can provide water for drying flowers, and can be easily switched out without removing the flowers. The space can also be utilized for stocky small plants not common in display plants.
