Woo! This one was a little bit of a struggle, and definitely more of an experiment than my usual saturated paintings. The ribbon is a lyric from Clarity by Zedd. I love how it turned out, and I feel I spent enough patience fully seeing it to fruition. It's a complete piece. The test of making a 3D effect with blue and red linework turned out so wonderful and I'm just so excited it's finally done.

The first adapted sketchbook page to a large canvas. While I loved how the patterns turned out, initial stages of the painting did not really fit together. Later on I designed this fungi gal and decided she matched this painting more than the original subject. It came out even better than I expected! It's nice when a painting feels actually finished. I have to remember to be patient and spend time on my paintings until I figure them out and get to this point.

Its cold but warm. The air is freezing but feels so clean. Its the perfect time to deeply settle for a moment, breathe in and reflect. A new piece not based on my previous sketchbook pages.

Flowers are the stars of the Earth. Third in the series of my series translating my sketchbook pages into large canvas acrylic paintings. This one came out so well, I cry. I usually have an 'Ihatethispainting' period but this time I was in love the whole way through.
